Dr Caroline Jagoe is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Speech and Language Studies, Trinity College Dublin and a visiting scholar in the School of Human and Community Development at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. The co-founder of the SADIE Network, Caroline is the academic lead of the WFP-Trinity partnership generating evidence to support disability inclusion in food security programming, and PI of an IRC Laureate-funded project called Co-Construct, which addresses communication access. With a clinical background in speech and language therapy, she has worked in the public health system in South Africa and Ireland, as well as on disability inclusion and social integration in collaboration with partners in countries such as Ethiopia, Iraq, Mozambique, and Somalia. Her research addresses the participation of people frequently marginalised in research and programming, with specific expertise in supporting the inclusion of people with communication disabilities.
