Cynthia Mwende Maswili

Cynthia Mwende Maswili is a sustainable development practitioner and researcher with experience in applied research, environmental management, and community-based development in Kenya. Her work focuses on climate resilience, sustainable food systems, and strengthening livelihoods among rural and farming communities, including women entrepreneurs, youth-led enterprises, and forest-adjacent populations. She has collaborated with development organizations, government agencies, and international partners including Irish Aid, GIZ, SNV, and Self Help Africa. Cynthia currently serves as a Research Assistant on the Geoformations Project. She holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from Technological University Dublin, an MBA in Project Management from Kenyatta University, and a BSc in Animal Science from Egerton University.
